Thorsten Kaye, (Zach, All My Children) was surprised by the reaction from friends and fans when he did not get an Emmy nod for Lead Actor this year. 

“I got all these emails from friends saying, ‘Oh, this is bullshit,’” says Kaye. “1t’s not. There.are  six very good reasons why I didn’t get nominated. One through five start with Peter and end with Tony, and the sixth is that 1didn’t work hard enough. This is not even mentioning Bob Woods (Bo, One life to Live) and Michael Easton (John, OLTL) and Maurice (Benard; Sonny, GH), who are really good. I think it’s a pretty fair competition - if I didn’t I wouldn’t want to be part of it. This is not a track meet. This is other people’s opinions of what you thought you were doing. They got it. I wasn’t good enough. I have been before, and maybe I will be again. But in the meantime, let’s congratulate these guys.”
