Kaye joins PORT CHARLES as Patrick's bro Ian

Fans are happy to see Thorsten Kaye back on daytime...and the actor himself is happy, too.  Kaye, who was one of soaps' most romantic heroes when he played Patrick Thornhart on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, is playing Patrick's brother Ian on PORT CHARLES.  Did anyone know Patrick had a brother?  "It was mentioned on OLTL.  It was one of those one-line things," he laughs.

Who is Ian and what's he all about?  "He's a doctor who has been working in Africa and has come back to America to brush up on some of his medical skills," Kaye explains.  "I don't know much about what's going to happen, but I'm open to pretty much anything."

With ABC's current penchant for crossovers, is it possible that Ian could be traveling to ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Llanview to check out his brother's roots?
