Thorsten Kaye (Patrick, OLTL) used his fame for a good cause when he hosted a charity luncheon sponsored by Ray August's Soap On A Rope to raise money for Give Kids the World, a Florida-based charity for terminally ill children.

The organization gives children and their families a paid vacation in a Disney World atmosphere -- complete with visiting Disney characters -- where all the rides are accessible to the handicapped. 

More than 45 people attended Kaye's luncheon at the Universal Hilton in L.A., which raised more than $4,000. The ever-gracious Kaye stayed almost six hours to sign autographs and chat with fans. One of the prized possessions up for grabs on the charity auction block was Kaye's first Harley-Davidson jacket, on which his mother had sewn the patch.
