In the wake of Katie's collapse at Brooke and Ridge's wedding, the heart transplant recipient is taken to the hospital for a checkup. There, both Ridge and Katie question their reaction and wonder if it's time to admit it. "If you are in the middle of your vows and you have made a decision to do something, but then something else happens, it obviously changes the moment," surmises Thorsten Kaye (Ridge). "I think whatever comes out of the collapse, the collapse is its own little bubble. It happened and that triggers other feelings. Right now, the only thing he's thinking about is that he just wants her to be okay."
Adds Heather Tom (Katie), "This is going to be a pivotal time for Katie. She really is on the verge of saying something, and it took her a long time to get to that point. She doesn't want to be a hypocrite, but how much more of this anxiety can she take?" Not much, as Katie is about to make a painful confession.
