Thorsten Kaye’s (Ian) dream of turning The Outlaw of Torn, the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel that he optioned long ago, into a film is on the precipice of coming true. “We wrote a script, a company bought it, and they want to do it in the spring,” he reveals, excited at the prospect of becoming a first time producer. “I want to learn how do to that.”
Set in 13th century England, the tale is about a lost prince who becomes a fearless outlaw with a price upon his head and an army loyal only to him. “It’ll be great – knights in armor, horses and a big love story too!” Kaye enthuses.
For the actor, working behind the scenes will be a terrific learning
opportunity. “It’ll be a good thing. I’m not going to be pretty forever,
so I need something [new],” he offers with a wink. “And I’ve always enjoyed
being around people who have a passion for what they do, whether they’re
writers, actors or athletes.”
