Soaps In Depth

While Ian is head over heels for Lucy, his portrayer Thorsten Kaye, is a huge fan of leading lady Lynn Herring.

"I couldn't wish for a better person to work with -- not just because she's cute, but because she's a very intelligent woman and I enjoy working with her," Kaye admits, grinning, "I know that's a corny actor thing to say, but I've never said it before, so I get away with one."

What makes Herring such a great scene partner?  Kaye pegs her as the ultimate professional.  "She's a great listener and she's more concerned with making the scene work than with how she would look in it.  She's smart enough to protect herself, but also wise enough to know that the scene is more important than her part in it," he observes.

While Kaye is among the first to note that Herring is very different from her hyperkinetic character, he does believe they have one important quality in common.  "What makes Lynn interesting is that she is as committed in real life as she is as Lucy.  She doesn't do things halfway."

That's A Fact

Kaye's dressing room has Miami Dolphins football decor.
