Recasts are always hard on fans, but believe it or not, they can be tough on actors, too!  Take Thorsten Kaye (Zach, ALL MY CHILDREN; ex-Patrick, ONE LIFE TO LIVE), for example.  

When OLTL recast the character of Marty Saybrooke, he wasn't too happy that his real-life love wasn't reprising her Emmy winning role!  "I think it was a mistake," the actor said candidly.  "Susan [Haskell] is an incredible actress.  If I had been in charge, which I probably never will be, I would have waited [for Haskell to have our baby] because I think the story woul have worked much better with Susan."  

Though we respected the work Christina Chambers [ex-Marty] delivered, we have to agree.  But now that Haskell has rclaimed her part, all's well that ends well, right?
