ONE LIFE TO LIVE fans are still crossing their fingers -- and toes -- that Thorsten Kaye (ex-Patrick; ex-Zach, ALL MY CHILDREN) will return to the soap. But no one is more gung-ho about the actor resurrecting the Irish poet than his real-life leading lady, Susan Haskell (Marty)!
The In Depth Story: If it were up to fans, ABC would find a way to get Kaye back on AMC and OLTL permanently. And the actor, who recently returned to Pine Valley, admits he enjoyed playing Zach again, even it if was for a quick visit. "It was good to see everybody and to see the [new] studio," he tells Soaps In Depth.
But while Kaye seems to have closed the book on a long-term return to AMC, his continued residence on the East Coast has many fans clamoring for his return to Llanview - and Haskell is one of them!
"I'd love it! Obviously, I love working with him, and I think [Patrick] would be a great character to [have] come back," says Haskell, adding that many of the show's cast members hope he'll give it some serious thought. "Everybody at the show wants him there. I think it would be very interesting."
Of course, it wouldn't be a bad thing to have the bard back, given the trauma that Marty and Cole have experienced as of late. But would the reel-life drama affect Haskell and Kaye's off-screen relationship? "Obviously, we bring our own feelings to it as we to any acting job," Haskell explains, "but we'd have fun with it. I think we'd be able to figure out what's real and what isn't. I think it would be great." At this time, a rep for the show has no comment on whether Patrick will be resurrected.
