Patrick's Notebook: Words of Love from One Life to Live debuted at ABC's Super Soap Weekend at Walt Disney World, October 19-20, 1996. Thorsten Kaye (Patrick) was on hand to autograph it. The book is in the form of a "journal written by Patrick after the fact," says Kaye. "It's a nice book for people who aren't just soap viewers," explains Kaye, noting that in addition to Marty and Patrick's story, which is illustrated with photographs of Kaye and Susan Haskell (Marty), the book contains poetry and essays by writers such as Yeats, Wordsworth and Shakespeare; Kaye himself wrote a poem for the book. "So…buy 20 of 'em," he adds, laughing.
