“Thorsten (Kaye, Ian) was like, ‘God, if I had known I would have taken some pictures or something.’” -- Erin Hershey Presley (No Closure for PC Fans, Soap Opera Weekly, July 29, 2003)

The PORT CHARLES cast is  upset that many viewers will not see the final three weeks of their show. As previously reported, some major markets will air Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? starting Sept. 15. "It means ABC isn't even sticking behind what they filmed, " laments Thorsten Kaye (Ian). "If they don't think we did a good job, then maybe they should have pulled the plug a long time ago. It's horrible for the viewers. There are people who have made a commitment to this show for such a long time." (PC Actors: It’s Not Fair!, Soap Opera Weekly, September 16, 2003)

What kind of ending would you have written for your character? "It would have been nice for Lucy to find a cure for Ian, trade her slayer powers for the ability to have children, and have a child with that handsome Irishman. Then they'd move the whole family to a safer place... Pine Valley sounds nice." What will you miss most about playing your character? "The thing I will miss most about playing Thornhart is the feeling of strength that came from being part of the most interesting and talented cast in daytime." (Wistful Thinking: The cast of PORT CHARLES prepares to raise anchor; ABC Soaps In Depth, September 30, 2003)

So many of the shows do the same things over and over. Our writers took a chance. I think we stepped up and made it come to life, and people enjoyed it. I think maybe what we did was before its time. I don’t know, but they pulled the plug a little too early.” (Signing Off: PORT CHARLES cast members share their final thoughts about their beloved show and express their gratitude to the fans, ABC Soaps In Depth, October 14, 2003)
