About Sound Files

The sound files found on this site are all .wav files, and they feature Thorsten reciting poetry and in character from his various television appearances. They have been recorded to be as small as possible while still retaining sound quality.

In order to save space and reduce download time, many of these files have been grouped together and placed in self-extracting .zip format. This means that the files which are type .exe will automatically unzip themselves when you execute them, and you need not have zip software to use these files.

After you've downloaded them (remember which directory you put them in!), click on "Start" and then "Run" and use your "browse" button to find the file (the .exe file you downloaded) that you want to unzip. These files will be decompressed (unzipped) and placed into the same directory into which you downloaded the .exe file.

After you've unzipped the files, delete the .exe file to save yourself some storage space.

Mac users - sorry! We don't have the equipment to provide these files in Mac format. There are a number of conversion programs available on various Mac sites which let you take these files and convert them to your format.

While we make no 100% guarantee that these are virus-free executable files, every effort, using the most up-to-date virus protection software, has been used to protect your computer - and our own!
