"I had a thing with an actor once, who's no longer on the show," he shares. "I'd been flying back and forth [from L.A.] a lot. One morning we had scenes with a big, physical confrontation. I said, 'Listen, I'm so tired today I can barely stand. Can we just take it easy on each other today?' 

"He said, 'No problem.' 

"We ran it, no problem, then the cameras started rolling and this guy went straight for my throat. I thought, 'Ah, good to know.' Because you know what? If I didn't look strong that day, that's fine. But those two minutes inform me of what kind of person you are for the rest of your life. And I remember stuff like that!" he grins. "I'm bitter."
