At last married to longtime parmour Kevin, Lucy had expected to live happily ever after as his wife.  But when a mental break turned him violent, newly widowed Ian provided a gallant protector. copyright 2003 SID/click to enlarge In turn, when Elizabeth's bite transformed Ian into a vampire, slayer Lucy discovered her lovemaking magically eased his bloodthirst!

Working together to help rid the town of evil, the couple became deeply committed to one another, despite the fact that Ian had no intention of living out eternity as a fanged monster.  But it was while Lucy was dying of blood poisoning - a condition brought about by the hot springs that also stole her powers - that the conflicted doctor came to realize just how much he needed her.

In the end, Lucy was cured, and it was her unconditional love that helped Ian make peace with his curse.
