For someone who prides himself on being aloof and cool, ALL MY CHILDREN's Zach always seems to be able to figure out when a friend is hiding pain. Such was the case in the hospital when he realized that Annie wasn't doing so well. When Mrs. Lavery finally gave up the truth -- that Ryan had woken up that morning unable to remember her or Emma -- she sounded inconsolable. "He knows that the time has passed, but for him, four years ago was just yesterday," she explained as they sipped coffee in the waiting room. Zach remained nonplussed. "Worst case scenario, he'll have to fall in love with you all over agian," he gently joked. But Annie already knew what he would realize by the end of their conversation: The future of both of their relationships could be in danger. "I was thinking... Ryan believes his world stopped four years ago," she said. "Wasn't that when he was engaged to Kendall?"
