"My dad...he lost his mind, he lost contol, and he let the madness take over," he said sadly, adding that brother Michael's insanity was further proof of his family's instability. "I've got it in my blood. So the point is, I can't allow myself to make mistakes. I can't afford to be wrong." When Greenlee pointed out that his burden seemed too big for one person to carry, tears threatened, but Slater smiled. "I'm not alone," he said. "I got Kendall. And with her, I can face anything."
